Giving Back

to reduce Food-Insecurity in NJ Area

1 in 8 Americans can't afford food. In 2015, 42,238,000 people slept with empty stomachs. Your neighbor, child's classmate or even coworker may be struggling for food as well. We can join hands to provide food to hungry people and plan to end the hunger crisis in the long run. Your donation brings us one step closer to the eradication of hunger in our community.

Let's Make A Change

How to get involved at a local food charity

Do you want to feel good by doing something amazing? We offer you the opportunity to do just that: try to volunteer with Urban Food Alliance. We have a system where families come together to help those in the community who are needy. Children over 10 (with their parents present to supervise and help) and adults can help with boxing food. When the boxing is completed, volunteers get to enjoy delivering the food in the field. Together we can make an impact in solving food-insecurity in our local communities.

Rescuing Families in Need (NY & NJ Area)

Volunteers with transportation can participate in food distribution to our different locations:

  • South Brunswick – We work with the Township’s Social Services Department to assist families who are in need.
  • New Brunswick – We deliver food around the New Brunswick train station area, to Elijah's Food Pantry, and to other families or individuals in need.
  • Trenton – We deliver food in the Hamilton & Trenton area to low-income housing facilities and shelters.
If you can’t feed a hundred people, then feed just one.”
